1.Armor Protection

Boron carbide has a hardness second only to diamond and cubic boron nitride. Hot pressed sintered boron carbide is much lighter in weight than alumina or silicon carbide with the same bulletproof performance and area, and is widely used in individual protection and armed helicopters. 2.Boron Carbide Ceramics for Nuclear Industry

Boron carbide ceramics containing 10B have high neutron absorption efficiency and can be used to control neutron flow, high temperature, and high flow rate breeder reactors in pressurized boiling water reactions. They can also be used to prepare shielding plates for storage tanks for nuclear waste. The shielding plates made of boron carbide ceramics can extend the service life of the storage tanks to 50 years. The boron carbide ceramics containing 10B prepared by our company are mainly used in the nuclear power industry.
