Brief Introduction
The Beijing Key Laboratory of Special Ceramics and Refractory Materials was officially established in April 2011 with the approval of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, relying on China Steel Research Technology Group Co., Ltd. The Beijing Key Laboratory of Special Ceramics and Refractory Materials (hereinafter referred to as the "Key Laboratory") mainly engages in the research, development, design, production, and general contracting of thermal kiln engineering, refractory materials, special ceramics, and related technologies, as well as external technical consulting and services.
Our laboratory is one of the main research and development units for special ceramics in China. Since its establishment in 1952, it has developed many key materials for China's metallurgy, chemical industry, aviation, aerospace, two bombs and one satellite, and has won multiple national invention awards. National leaders have come to inspect and guide our work multiple times. The Iron and Steel Research Institute has the right to confer doctoral and master's degrees in materials science, and materials science and engineering are first-class disciplines. Our laboratory has trained a large number of experts and research talents in special ceramics and refractory materials for China. Our laboratory mainly serves industries such as metallurgy and power, and several main research directions are in an absolute leading position in China. Our laboratory has close technical exchanges and cooperation with countries such as the United States, Japan, Germany, Sweden, and South Korea, and enjoys a high reputation and status in China.
Our laboratory has been focusing on the cutting-edge research topics of special ceramics and refractory materials both domestically and internationally, in conjunction with the country's medium to long-term scientific and technological development strategy. We have solved key problems in the civilian and military fields of special ceramics and refractory materials in China and achieved iconic original results.
Through resource integration, our laboratory strives to establish a first-class ceramic production process and theoretical research level in China and the world. We fully utilize resource integration, subject integration, infiltration, and intersection, gather talents, and focus on institutional innovation to build the laboratory into an internationally renowned research base with original innovation capabilities and a high-level talent training base for special ceramics.
R & D Field
Since its establishment, the Key Laboratory has conducted multiple research projects and topics, including IC equipment projects, key technology testing platforms for ultra-low nitrogen oxide combustion, basalt projects, ultra-high temperature electric furnace projects, converter/electric furnace bottom blowing gas supply systems, gas/solid, liquid/solid filtration projects, amorphous refractory castables projects, and metal ceramic projects, with the aim of serving the equipment manufacturing industry and industries such as steel, petrochemical, coal, and power across the country. The implementation of multiple tasks and their nationwide promotion and application are conducive to highlighting the leading role of technological innovation in the capital, and also have significant social and economic benefits. The development of new products and technologies in industries such as steel, petrochemical, and power has a significant driving force for the reform of traditional industries.
Among them, the research and development of key components and technologies for IC equipment is conducive to the localization of IC key equipment such as lithography machines, etching machines, PVD, PECVD, diffusion furnaces, LPCVD, etc. in China.
Facing the new environment and opportunities, key laboratories mainly carry out scientific research and engineering work in the inorganic non-metallic field. In the future, it will mainly be the continuation and deepening of the existing direction, specifically:
1.The converter/electric furnace bottom blowing gas supply system is positioned for the research of functional refractory materials and high-temperature ceramic materials for steelmaking, as well as the service performance and evaluation of functional refractory materials for steelmaking;
2.Key technologies and combustion equipment for ultra-low nitrogen oxide emissions in steel plants;
3.Research on refractory materials under hydrogen reduction conditions;
4.Research on high-end ceramic components and metal ceramic sleeves;
5.Continuous high-temperature pusher atmosphere sintering furnace;
6.Zirconia ultra-high temperature electric furnace.
