The continuous casting center has been involved in continuous casting engineering projects since 1996. The expert group of the continuous casting center took the lead in proposing the concept of high-efficiency continuous casting in China, and completed 46 high-efficiency transformation and construction projects for 190 strand and slab continuous casting units in more than 30 metallurgical enterprises such as Shougang, Guanggang, and Jigang. At that time, the maximum casting speed of Guangzhou Steel 150X150 was raised to 3.0 meters per minute, and the maximum casting speed of Shougang No. 3 steelmaking caster 120X120 was raised to 4.2 meters per minute.

Since 2002, the company has been market-oriented and has achieved fruitful results in special steel continuous casting, large slab continuous casting, and thin slab continuous casting; More than 40 metallurgical enterprises have completed 50 m3 and slab continuous casting new construction projects.
