Approved by the State Planning Commission in 1994, the National Engineering Research Center of continuous casting technology is a national engineering research center based on the CISRI. In 1999, on the basis of strong combination and complementary advantages, China Iron and Steel Research Institute and Shougang Corporation, led by academicians Yin Ruiyu and Gan Yong, established Zhongda Continuous Casting Technology National Engineering Research Center Co., Ltd. with continuous casting center as the main body.
